Day 24. A Class[ier] Establishment On A 2nd Looking.

I surprisingly sprung out of bed today, ready for today’s adventures and excitement. As ever, a bowl of Porridge and the gym called.

After that with my new found contacts and energy I sent out another 30 or so e-mails. I have racked up a surprising amount, and individualised each e-mail according to who it is addressed for. Well it seems my work is paying off as I have secured another meeting for Monday, as people back hope enjoy a Bank holiday I shall be securing another leg of my future. I spent a good few hours sorting this out and then realised it was a Saturday. What are they doing ringing me on a Saturday? They are a highly successful agency and working seven days a week is mandatory.

After that we went to town, there was a big boxing match on and after we had done our research on the players (I mean fighters). Had a short game of Top Trumps on their stats and the only place showing it was Hooters. Hooters as quoted from their menu and Wikipedia; ‘The Hooters name is taken from an American slang term for female breasts. Its logo is an owl, an animal known for its "hooting" calls’.  [Wikipedia]. Well unfortunately this was the only place showing it, and we did our research. So, after accepting that we might have to put the derogatory named ‘restaurant’ on our priorities list while woman’s equality wasn’t considered. But I had been to Hooters before with Jen, Laura and Mitch. It isn’t as seedy as it sounds and does really cheap ribs and great jugs...of beer. After having a couple of drinks else where we headed on over to Hooters, apparently everyone had the same idea. The place was packed and we couldn’t get in, so had to join the mob outside and watch through the window. The whole place is pretty open so it wasn’t too bad and fortunately a warm night. So as (we) the rabble stood outside and enjoyed the...boxing we looked upon those inside. And it wasn’t until I got home and looked on Twitter I found out Simon Pegg and Zachary Quinto. Who are both pretty big time in terms of Hollywood films and TV shows were also there! Unfortunately I cannot claim to have taken this photo...

 

But I can take full credit for this one.

It was a quiet but productive day.

Lesson Learnt: If there is only place in the area showing/doing something exclusive. This is a niche in the market and someone else needs to join in.
